CCSD'S KAYDENCE PORTER NAMED A NATIONAL MERIT FINALIST!
The Early College senior was named a finalist this month. Out of the 1.5 million entrants, about 50,000 students with the highest PSAT/NMSQT® Selection Index scores (calculated by doubling the sum of the Reading, Writing and Language, and Math Test scores) qualify for recognition in the National Merit Scholarship Program. That 50,000 is cut to 15,000 in February. All winners of Merit Scholarship awards are chosen from the Finalist group based on their abilities, skills, and accomplishments—without regard to gender, race, ethnic origin, or religious preference. Congratulations Kaydence!
