The College and Career Readiness Academy @ Lehman will be the next school to join the district’s 1:1 iPad initiative. Every student will receive an iPad at the beginning of the 2019-20 school year this fall.
This comes on the heels of the successes at the AIM Academy and Belden Leadership School, where iPads were seamlessly integrated into the curriculum this school year.
Teachers will be able to save valuable learning time because of the ease in having students log into their own devices and navigate to lessons. While students will not take the devices home, they will be permitted to personalize them with photos and wallpapers.
Most importantly the iPads will allow for personalized learning.
Technology Senior Coordinator Heather Heater said she is looking forward to seeing how individualized devices will enhance the learning environment and engage kids in 21 century learning.
