Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
Three "Grab 'n Go" meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) will be provided each day, Monday - Friday, at each of our schools between the hours of 9:00AM and 11:00AM. This service will be provided during the entirety of the school closure, including Spring Break.
Q: Do I have to go to the school my child attends?
A: While meals are being provided out of all Canton City school, families may visit the school most convenient to where they live.
Q: Do I have to come back at separate times on the same day for all three meals?
A: No - all three meals will be offered when children arrive each day.
Q: Do parents have to be in attendance?
A: Our concern right now is that every child is fed. Anyone can assist the child in picking up meals - grandparents, aunts & uncles, neighbors or babysitters may all help. A child may come by his or her self - older siblings may bring younger siblings. Thank you to everyone who steps up to assist the well-being of our youth during tehse unprecedented times.
Q: Does my child have to be school-age to receive meals?
A: No. Any child under the age of 18 is eligible for free meals.
Q: What if I'm taking care of a child who does not attend Canton City Schools?
A: Please bring the child to one of our schools - they will be provided with food.
Q: Can I leave my children at home and pick up meals for them?
A: No. Children need to be present to receive the meals.
