Child Nutrition

  • picture of foods Our department supports the Canton City School District by continually advancing the accessibility, integrity and quality of the school nutrition program. We work with district leaders to meet the needs of students during the school day and outside of the daily meal service.

The Child Nutrition Department is proud to offer a hot dinner to our students participating in afterschool programs. We understand that to have a successful student, their needs often extends after school. This program is new to the school district and we hope to continue to expand the dinner program to more students in the future. Even though it is in the beginning stages, we are seeing positive relationships being built and students look forward to dinner.  Our goal is to continue to provide nutritious and appetizing meals to students daily. We are committed to serving and adapting to the students’ needs and accommodating their requests while operating within the guidelines of the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs as well as remaining fiscally responsible.

Canton City Schools will continue to offer Breakfast and Lunch at no cost to the CCS students.
