The Department of Pupil Services provides the following services to Canton City Schools:


1. Approves Transfer Exceptions, Open Enrollment, Superintendent Agreements, Grandparent Tuition Waivers, Employee Tuition Waivers, and Home School Applications.

2. Truancy Mediations Liaisons, 504 plan assistance, Enrollment Information.

3. All School Counselors and Nurses fall under Pupil Services and Health Services.

4. Identify, assess and provide instruction for all Limited English Proficient Students (public and non-public).

5.  Process work permits, transcript requests, retrieval of records for grads and non-grads.

6.  Suspension Appeal and Expulsion Hearing Officer. 

7.  Responsible for the District Calendar.

8.  Member of the District Policy Committee, administrative representative for OAPSE Labor Managment Team, and Human Resources Responsibilities for OAPSE 161 & 161A.
