Current Employment:

Number of years in education and/or affiliation with CCS:
30+ Years (1962 graduate of McKinley Senior High School, taught Social Studies at Timken Senior High School from 1971-1990, Social Studies Curriculum Specialist from 1985-1990)

I serve on the Board of Education for Canton City Schools because:
I believe in Canton City Schools’ students, parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff. I want my service on the Board to make a difference in the classroom.

Most memorable moments at CCS:
Seeing my daughter graduate from McKinley Senior High School; teaching my son at Timken and watching him graduate; having my granddaughter watch me be sworn in as a Board Member.

What inspires me:
A come from behind success; when you’re down, but not out; when you’re low, but you reach high; when you cross the finish line. Seeing students do all of those things is inspiring.

The best advice I was ever given or can give:
To live is not to live for oneself alone. Let us help one another.

In my spare time I like to:
Golf during the day and write at night. I am proud to have had one book published, and I am working on the second one.
