Student Conduct & Compliance
All of the rules and procedures for Passages are made for the safety and security of students and staff. All students will be expected to know, follow and abide by them. Education must take place in a safe and secure environment. The goal of the program is to provide each student an opportunity to remain current with his / her core academic courses while learning improved decision-making skills.
Each classroom team will provide students with class expectations, procedures and guidelines to insure an orderly learning environment. The rules in each classroom are:
----- Be respectful of people and property; Be here; and Be productive. Students will be accountable for their own behavior at all times.
----- When a student has a problem or personal concern with another student, he / she is to immediately inform the nearest staff member about the matter. When it occurs during a class period, the student will direct the concern to staff by raising hand and receiving permission to speak in a respectful manner. The staff will make the determination of how the situation will be handled. Students are to remain in the areas designated by the staff.
----- Parents and / or students may schedule a conference to ask questions for clarity about the program, rules or procedures by contacting the Program Leader (330-438-2677). Successful cooperation infollowing the Passages School guidelines and academic program could result in a recommendation for early release back to their home school. Returning to home schools will occur at the end of a grading period.
