Teachers help students to earn an Ohio Adult Equivalence Diploma (GED) through group instruction, individual tutoring and computerized instruction. You will receive assistance with goal setting, career planning, and employability skills. After your personalized study program is completed, the teacher will schedule a GED practice test and help you register for the official GED test. Daytime and evening classes are available.

Registration is held every Monday (except holidays) in the

Adult Learning Center

at the Stark County District Library,

715 Market Avenue, N in downtown Canton.

No appointment is necessary.

Registration takes less than an hour.

 
 

3 ways you can choose:

  • To attend classes.
  • To attend the drop in GED lab on your own flexible schedule. Registered students may drop in at the Learning Lab in the YWCA (213 Sixth Street NE) Monday through Thursday for individualized instruction, small group work, or computer instruction. Check the monthly schedule for special GED and career workshops. You can call the YWCA for childcare while you study.
  • Register for GED Online Connection and use the Internet, video tapes, workbooks, and interaction with a teacher via email.
